Asbestos has been prohibited in Australia since 2003. However, our past use of asbestos in over 3000 products means that asbestos-containing materials are still abundant in our built environment, and can be found in millions of homes, vehicles, public and commercial buildings.
This course is for Australian workers who need general awareness of the hazards and controls of asbestos, and how to work safely in the presence of asbestos in the workplace.
